Dawnmarie Zimmerman

Dawnmarie Zimmerman is a leader with broad-based experience in association management and membership recruitment and retention. She brings an eclectic executive skillset to her responsibilities as well as a creative approach and innovative orientation.

As executive director for the Society of American Mosaic Artists since 2015, Dawnmarie organized a variety of conferences, events, and activities, both in-person and virtual. She established successful partnerships with related organizations and leveraged those collaborations for mutually beneficial outcomes. A seasoned facilitator, Dawnmarie provided guidance to the staff, the board, and over 100 volunteers.

Dawnmarie is an entrepreneurial administrator with a keen understanding of business development. She established a thriving mosaics gallery and, over eight years, worked in positions of increasing responsibility for the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Long Beach, rising to become a senior convention services manager.

Dawnmarie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in dance from California State University Long Beach.
