Sue Dykema

Sue Dykema, CAE, is a results-driven leader with a track record of guiding organizations to achieve strategic objectives. Her roots in the association industry bring clients a depth of experience that contributes to efficient solutions and wise decisions.

A skilled facilitator, Sue is adept at supporting board members and volunteers in realizing their governance potential. She excels at operations management, financial oversight, fostering transparency, and promoting a culture of success. Expertise in communications, coaching, and relationship building makes Sue an expert at strengthening teams and retaining exceptional talent.

For 27 years, Sue served as the executive director, and in various managerial positions, with the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She was also executive director of the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation and the Society of Plastic Surgery Skin Care Specialists.

Volunteerism is a personal priority. Sue has chaired the California Association of Student Councils, served as Secretary/Treasurer of PCMA, and served on the Advisory Board of the Image Reborn Foundation.

In 2013 and 2022, Sue received a Special Merit Award from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She is also the 2014 recipient of the PCMA Foundation’s Meeting Professional of the Year Award.

Sue is a graduate of the Institute for Organizational Management, and she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach.
