Monday Motivator: Canva
In our new weekly “Monday Motivator” series, we’ll be offering a tech tip that could help your association be more productive in 2016. Last week, we took a look at the productivity app Wunderlist. Up next is the design tool Canva.
The free service offers hundreds of ready-made templates in which you can just update the text, choose your color scheme and move on. But you can also also opt to build your own design on top of a nice background, or start from a blank canvas.
Canva also features a suite of photo editing tools and a large library of stock photos, graphics and and icons. Some of them are free, but there are “premium” options, too. (Premium photos, for instance, cost $1 per image once you download your design.)
It also has free tutorials in subjects like fonts, color, background, layout and branding so that new users can make the most of the service.
In addition to Canva for Web, there’s a Canva iPad app and also a Canva for Work in the pre-launch phase. Canva, which was founded in 2012, now has 7 million users.
