Even when you love your job, without the right support, it’s easy to experience symptoms of leadership fatigue like these.

  • The thrill might not be gone. But genuine excitement is harder to find.
  • Being in the first chair feels like living in a bubble. You could use some fresh advice.
  • You wish that your morning coffee came with a side of creativity.

Save the Date

.orgCommunity was created to keep the excitement of our industry alive and growing. It is a networking and development organization that connects executives with education, research, ideas, and people. Our goal is to be a source of inspiration and to offer the tools that make for outstanding careers and associations.

We’ve planned a day of exploration and discovery that will return you to the office with solutions to tough challenges. But answers aren’t enough anymore. You need the insight to recognize options, seize opportunities, and create advantages. Our agenda delivers strategies you can put into practice immediately, along with the creative vision leaders need to succeed in digital markets.

Navigate Industry 4.0

Sherry Budziak and Kevin Ordonez

Kevin Ordonez and I will be kicking off the day sharing our perspectives on how to navigate Industry 4.0., or the digital revolution. Kevin is .orgCommunity’s Co-Founder. He is also President and Managing Director of Digital Strategy for .orgSource, and my co-author of the Association 4.0 books.

Back in 2017, we could see that business was changing. To help our colleagues build the skills they would need to handle fast-moving technology, we spent a lot of time talking with thought leaders. We wanted to understand how those trendsetters are reshaping our industry as it is transformed by the digital revolution.

Our research resulted in two books dedicated to positioning executives for success in digital markets. We call that constellation of skills, Association 4.0 leadership. We couldn’t have guessed that the pandemic would give our recommendations a test drive so quickly. Nor could we have imagined the rapid development of new AI tools like ChatGPT and Bard. But Industry 4.0 is here, and we’re excited to explain how we’ve integrated lessons learned as well as current trends into our playbook.

Wrap-up Keynote

Hey Google, write me a speech about the ethical and legal issues surrounding a non-profit’s use of AI

Kimberly A. Pendo, Founding Member of Chicago Law Partners, LLC.

Kimberly Pendo

AI is rapidly changing the world, and the non-profit sector is no exception. This technology is being used to create new forms of content, automate tasks that were once done by humans, and make it easier for people to infringe on the intellectual property (IP) rights of others.

Some of the biggest ethical issues raised by AI are bias, data privacy and security, accuracy and reliability, and responsible innovation. The use of AI in IP also raises additional questions. One of the biggest is whether AI-generated content is protected by copyright law. Another is how fair use applies to AI-generated content.

Kimberly will explore these complex and evolving ethical and legal issues and the importance of developing policies and regulations that address this changing landscape. Kimberly practices not-for-profit and corporate law.

Jeanne Sheehy, MBA, Chief Marketing Officer, Bostrom
